About

Integrity. It’s a really simple principle I try to live by everyday. Over the past 22 years I’ve been repairing computers and laptops out of multiple storefronts. I go to work each day with the belief that I treat people the way I want to be treated when I go someplace for service.

Prior to opening the Gardner store I contracted with other shops to make the repairs they couldn’t handle. Until then most were turning away business or mailing them out. Working with multiple shops gave me great insight how the computer repair business worked. At that time is was common to bill hourly and let work sit untouched for days at a time. Luckily most of the shops I worked with then are no longer in business.

My original vision was to be a place people could come for straightforward answers and repairs where they wouldn’t be talked down to or made to feel stupid. Additionally, I wanted a place where people could talk openly about how they use their equipment and (oddly) how they felt about it. Most importantly, I wanted a place where people could have modesty and privacy with regard to their data.

I started this business at a time when computers were a novelty and you could be without for a few weeks. Computers today are a necessary appliance that store our finances, fondest memories and connect us to work and loved ones. Even with cell phones and tablets, computers remain the centerpiece of our technical bevy. It’s hard to live without our Mac or PC for a day or two.

I have always considered my pricing fair. The last time I adjusted my pricing was in 2008 when I lowered it due to the recession. Since then it has not increased and in some cases has decreased. My belief is that quality repairs should be available to everyone no matter their ability to pay. The price of the repair should never be a surprise.

Shortly after starting my first location in Gardner, I challenged myself to repair computers in hours. It was a daunting task at first but I figured out that proper inventory, good management and an excellent supply chain would allow me to carve days off of my repair cycle. I created and continue to evolve a simple formula that works for my business.

Many people ask why I don’t fix phones or other devices. The answer is quite simple: It’s impossible to be the best at something when you’re spread thin. Repairing phones, tablets, gaming consoles, televisions, DVD players, 3D printers, drones etc. takes away a small companies ability to be really good at one thing. I’ve never considered myself a Jack of all trades; rather, I’m the master of computers and laptops.

Your data is my number one priority. Since starting this business, keeping your data safe and private have been my top priorities so I invest in large amounts of safe and private storage. Let’s face it, we use our computers to manipulate all sorts of data. You’re not bringing me your computer because you want to preserve the plastic and metal. You’re bringing me your Mac or PC because you want your data safe and secure.

Once a customer of mine you will always be a customer of mine. I am still servicing some of my original customers who remember me from before I had grey hair. In many cases I’m doing work for the grandchildren of some of my first customers. In the early days of the company I noticed some customers were traveling hours to have their computer fixed. The number of customers who travel to see me has increased over the years with some traveling across multiple states.

I invite you to call or text me. We can create a plan that works best for you and your situation. Even if I’m not in your store when you reach out I will still answer the phone.

Thank you for considering me for your next Mac or PC repair.
